Quartering people on public places.
Bloody murders written and drawn on published pages.
Even shreddering “Jesus” on big screens for money.
Now shoot-’em-up games are killer’s honey?
After another rampage at a German school the topic of violence-gloryfiying video games, putting up teenagers that are said to be absolutely psychical stabil to kill random people and themselves is on everyone’s lips.
Games as ‘Counter Strike’, ”far Cry’ or ‘GTA IV’ are depicted as guides to kill people.
But media that transfers it’s consumers into the view of a murderer, killer, soldier or agent is already existing for a long time. Books, movies, paintings. [...] Violent scenes are illustrated in many different ways since human thinking.
So why of all should games be the media that causes rampages? It’s redicoulous.
And if someone says, it’s the interactivity of games, why did no one eat yellow balls while getting haunted by coloured ‘killer-ghosts’?
Media is not the source of evil. It needs deep psychical instability to make people imitate violent contents.
Not the media is the source. It’s the person himself.
