Africa – Tansania

The east African state Tansania borders to the indian ocean and eight other African countries.
The name ‘Tansania’ is formed from three words: The two main regions Tanganjika and Sansibar. The last three letters come from the word azania which describes several sub-Saharan countries.

Tansania was under British administration from 1920 to 1961 when it became independent.
